Ashley Madekwe and Ashley Leggat

Madekwe was born in South London, England into a family of mixed blood. Her father is Nigerian-Swiss and her mother is English. Her family was lived in a housing estate run by the council located south of London. At the age fourteen, she was enrolled at The Brit School. In London she attended The Royal Academy of Dramatic Art where her acting degree was earned. She performed in various stages during her high time at school, including the King Henry V and Wuthering Heights.
Madekwe began her acting career through a short film called Storm Damage. Since then, she's made guest appearances in Teachers, Doctors, Casualty as well as Drop Dead Gorgeous. Madekwe's debut film is the Woody Allen 2007 movie Cassandra's Dream. She starred alongside Colin Farrell & Ewan MacGregor. Then, she appeared in Elisha, an episode of the BBC Three pilot drama, in West 10 LDN. In addition, she appeared as Ollie in six episodes each in the series Trexx, Flipside, and Flipside. In 2008, the actress was offered Bambi as the main character on ITV2's show Secret Diary of a Call Girl. Madekwe played the lead role in How to Lose Friends And Alienate Others. The comedy released in 2008. Some of her theatre credits include Little Sweet Thing (by Roy Williams) and Flight Path (by David Watson).
Madekwe made her US debut in the series The Beautiful Life in 2009. The show aired just two episodes on The CW, and was eventually ended. She was cast in February 2011, as Ashley Davenport on the ABC drama Revenge. After being a regular for the initial two seasons the show was announced late May 2013 that Madekwe was set to leave the show after a guest appearance in the pilot episode in the season's third. The actress portrayed Tituba in the TV show Salem between 2014 and 2016. Her long-time friend, Iddo, married Madekwe in June 2012. In addition to Secret Diary of a Call Girl they also appeared with each other on Salem and also he played a part alongside her in that TV show.

Ashley Leggat grew up in Hamilton Ontario with an extended family. Her parents, Roy and Patty along with the four brothers of her, Brett, Todd, and Bram, were all present. Ashley's brothers, who were each of them extremely physically active, were all playing hockey in the winter and baseball during the summer, so she basically grew up in parks and arenas. Ashley was not a walker, but she danced. When she was two and half, she found Baby Ballet. That was the start of Ashley's interest in dance. Until she graduated from High School, Ashley danced competitively in the highest divisions of tap, jazz, ballet and pointe as well as acrobatics, musical theatre, lyrical, and hip-hop. She was the top soloist in major competitions such as International Dance Challenge, Showstoppers 56-7-8 Showtime, Flash Dance, Dance, Dance, Dance and many more were awarded to Ashley.
